Sign your child up to join Ms. Krystel of Krystel’s Creations once a month to create an all-new project! Krystel will guide your child’s mind to create big dreams from small ideas. Projects are always brightly colored and fun, with plenty of room for artistic interpretation. You can register for one workshop, or you can register for them all. The season begins with your child creating his/her own apron or smock on January 19th in order to use it for all of the creativity throughout the year. If you have a creative child and have been looking for their new favorite place to be, this is it! Register fast because seats will fill up fast! *Dates subject to change

Join us as we celebrate Arbor Day in Douglasville with the showcasing of several newly planted trees and the unveiling of a shade plan for the Hunter Park ballfields. The site improvements are a collaborative effort of the City of Douglasville’s Tree Board and Douglasville Parks and Recreation. Tree seedlings will handed out to attendees provided by the Georgia Forestry Commission.

Join us on the front steps of the Douglasville Police Department at 2083 Fairburn Road on Saturday, February 18, at 10 am to hear from Chief Sparks and other leaders about “Unity In Our Community”.

Get involved by joining these leaders and the Douglasville Police Department as we work together to be “one with our community”.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside our Community Room.

The event is free and open to the public.

Seating will be available.

We are now registering for our spring session of the Douglasville Police Department Citizens Law Enforcement Academy. Come learn how your police department works. The class teaches what officers do on a day-to-day basis. The class begins Tuesday, February 21 and we are currently accepting applications. All applicants need to be able to commit to attending the 10 sessions on Tuesday nights from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm. There is NO FEE for this class. You must be 18 years of age and give consent for a background check. Dinner is provided.

Most people do yoga for flexibility. Did you know it also supports stress management, mental health, mindfulness, healthy eating, and quality sleep? We invite you, yes the public, our community, to grab a mat and come join us. On nice days we will have yoga on our lawn, and on cold or wet days we will have it in the Douglasville Police Department Community Room next to the main building. This is a FREE class once a month on a scheduled Wednesday evening that begins at 5:30 pm and lasts about an hour. You can review our FB Event, or put these dates down on your calendar:
